Iroshini's Defence

After tirelessly working for two years this August 18th, 2025, Iroshini Gunasekera successfully defended her thesis on “The Contributions of Monocular and Binocular Depth Cues to Size Discrimination of 3D Objects.” Iroshini finished her defence in just over an hour, almost unheard of, but she was so well-spoken that the committee had no more questions. Her committee consisted of her co-supervisors, Laurie Wilcox and Rob Allison, along with the committee chair, Erez Freud, and Niko Troje.

Iroshini has now obtained her Master of Arts in Psychology - Brain, Behaviour and Cognitive Science and is planning to pursue her PhD in the Wilocx Lab.

Congratulations, Iroshini! Glad you are sticking around! 💜 💛

Teo's Defence

After years of work, on August 14th, 2024, Teo Neagu successfully defended her thesis titled" The Contribution of Stereopsis and Motion Parallax to Depth Segmentation" with flying colours. Her defence committee consisted of her supervisor Laurie Wilcox, chair Niko Troje, Peter Kholer and Laurence Harris.

With this, she completed the final requirement for the Master of Science in Biology at York University.

Teo is now applying the skills she learned during her master's as the new research coordinator for the Wilcox lab. We are so happy she has chosen to stay on with us in the Wilcox lab a little longer.

Congratulations!!!! Teo!!!  🥳
